Stoneham High School
Wasn't the high school building we spent our first years of high school in immeasurably better than the new maximum security version that we were forced to move to for our senior year? Remember how we could leave for lunch and take a short walk for ice cream and pizza. The classroom windows on the ground floor were large enough to walk right out of. Sure we had a pathetic gym, no parking, and study halls where in the cafe, but ohh the good old days...

SHS 1982 Beautification Fund, Inc.

SHS Beautification Fund, Inc. The SHS 1982 Beautification Fund, Inc. is at again! For those of you who are new to this web site, the SHS 1982 Beautification Fund, Inc. is a non-profit corporation comprised of graduates from the Stoneham High School Class of 1982. We organized as a 501(c)3 charity to give back to the community where we grew up by completing an annual beautification project.

Whiskey BarrellIn 2003, we planted 12 flowering crab apple trees in the island areas at the high school. In 2004, we planted a Permanent Holiday Tree in the Common, in 2005 we did a complete facelift on the front of the Stoneham Middle School in 2006, we purchased and installed 30 full-size whiskey barrels in the Stoneham Square area on Main Street, from Montvale Ave. to the Library. Our plan is to keep these barrels planted with beautiful flowers and winter greenery through 2011. We will be planting again this Spring, so please join us - it's alot of fun!

SHS Beautification Fund, Inc. We are also almost finished with our 2008 beautification project - resurrecting the Traffic Box in Stoneham Square! We felt that it was such a unique landmark that it needed to be brought back. Please see our architect's rendering to give you an idea of how we envisioned the new Traffic Box.

Lost Classmates

82 Apples
We are still on the hunt for a few lost classmates! If you know the whereabouts of a classmate who appears on our Missing classmates list, please add any information that you can to the lost classmates information form.

Vinnie Minichiello suggested that classmates could create short biographies of their lives since graduation for those who are interested in catching up with what's been going on in each others lives. We are posting them on this web site hyper linked to the classmates name in the found classmates list. If you send a short Bio as an attachment to an email addressed to:biography@shsclassof82.org we will be sure to post it.
